FICC Jury at the Galway Film Fleadh.

Having watched an animation programme over the weekend it awarded the Don Quijote Prize at the Galway Film Fleadh 2012 to:

Here To Fall

Director: Kris Kelly

Producer: Evelyn McGrath

The jury also gave a special mention to:

Learning to Fish

Director: Teemu Auersalo

Producer: Nicky Gogan.

The FICC jury was made up of Mr. Alberto Lacasa (Spain), Mr. David Miller (United Kingdom) and Mr. Gary Hoctor (Ireland).

FICC Jury Statement

The jury awarded the Don Quijote award to Here To Fall for its high quality of animation especially in the facial expressions of the main character, the way its storyline leaves you in thought and its effective use of a strong score.

Learning To Fish is a simple story on the surface but with a deeper commentary on environmental and social issues, communicated through high quality animation.
