The Chef of South Polar

The Japanese Film Festival will return to venues across Ireland this November, once again bringing the best new Japanese films to Irish audiences.

The Festival will launch in Cork before touring to Dublin, Limerick, and Galway throughout November.

Co-organised by the Embassy of Japan, access>CINEMA and the Ireland Japan Association (IJA), the programme for 2011 will increase to include more films and screenings.

Titles confirmed to date include the award winning thriller Villain, comedy The Chef of South Polar and the quirky Memories of Matsuko from festival favourite Tetsuya Nakashima.

The final lineup will be announced very shortly and full details will be available in the Japanese Film Festival programme from the end of October.
