The Divine Order tours to access>CINEMA sites in association with the Audi Dublin International Film Festival

In partnership with the Audi Dublin International Film Festival, and the support of the Arts Council, we are delighted to present special screenings of the rousing crowd-pleaser The Divine Order at access>CINEMA venues during the festival.

The Divine Order centres on Nora, an unassuming young housewife who lives in a quiet Swiss village that has seen little of the social upheaval of the 1968 movement.

But when Nora begins to campaign for the right of women to vote, she begins to experience some resistance of her own.

In a year in which Ireland celebrates the centenary of women's right to vote, writer/director Petra Biondina Volpe's heartfelt film is a timely, character-driven story that shows how the political is always the personal.

Described by Variety as a "... crowd-pleaser adept at inspiring and amusing in equal measure ...", The Divine Order scooped the Audience Award for Best Feature at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and was also Switzerland's submission to the Best Foreign Langauage Film category for the 2018 Academy Awards.

The Divine Order on Tour will visit Dun Laoghaire, Drogheda, Sligo, Newbridge and Navan, where audiences at screenings will be able to access the "Festival Experience".

Each screening will be preceded by the short film Newport Gun Girls.
