“Suspensful and unsettling from first frame to last...” Screen International

Michèle (Isabelle Huppert), the single-minded director of a successful videogame company, is violently attacked by a masked intruder in her own home. But instead of calling the police, she moves on matter-of-factly with her busy life. However when the rapist starts to send her anonymous text messages, Michèle decides to take matters into her own hands.

Based on Philippe Djian's acclaimed novel Oh..., Dutch director Paul Verhoeven's first French-language film is provocative, divisive and darkly funny. French star Huppert is superb as the complex, assertive and wry Michèle, a character she has made wholly her own. The result is a suspenseful thriller that is unflinching yet remarkable, and unlike any other film you’ll see this year.
