We Are Fugazi from Washington D.C. – using footage captured by fans – chronicles the legendary punk band Fugazi. The band has been on hiatus since their UK / Ireland tour in 2002. However, during their active years they displayed unwavering dedication to building community through $5 benefit gigs, radical anti-consumerism, and resistance to corporatism – principles that resonate more urgently than ever.
Screening this film is more than a celebration of Fugazi’s ethos; it’s an act of solidarity and a call to action. To amplify this spirit, all profits from each screening will be donated to a local food bank charity or similar in your town, directly supporting those most affected by rising inequality.
