Shorts & Resources for Little Film Fans

Shorts & Resources for Little Film Fans

We’ve partnered with our wonderful friends at Dundee Contemporary Arts and Discovery Film Festival to bring you some weekly shorts and resources for Little Film Fans.

There's no denying that lockdown is proving challenging for everyone but it can be particularly difficult trying to keep children entertained and stimulated.

So we’re hoping to help a little, with weekly updates of selected shorts and resources from the Discovery Film Festival Shorts for Wee Ones packages, which many of our sites will have screened over the years.  These shorts have been selected from all over the world and have formed part of these wonderful annual shorts compilations.

Each Thursday we will send a mail out and also upload viewing links to two shorts along with specific resources created for these shorts.

The resources for these shorts have been created by classroom teachers and educational professionals and were originally created for classroom-based activities, but are perfect for home use.

All have been classified G and have a recommended age of 3-8 years (approximately).

You can find viewing links and resources for the shorts already circulated here.

We would like to say a big thank you to Mike Tait & Alice Black at Dundee Contemporary Arts and Discovery Film Festival for their help with this, and also to  the creators of the resource activities for all the shorts.  If you are sharing the resources please credit both the individual resource creators and Discovery Film Festival.
