access>CINEMA at Home: A Perfectly Normal Family

Directed by Malou Reymann

“The directness and honesty of the storytelling is really affecting … so natural and touching … there’s a scene that brought me to tears with its sheer loveliness.” The Guardian

Emma (11) has a perfectly normal family until one day it turns out her dad, Thomas, is transgender.

As Thomas becomes Agnete, both father and daughter struggle to hold on to what they had, while accepting that everything has changed.

Due to COVID-19, film clubs and arts centres across the access>CINEMA network are temporarily closed.

However through the access>CINEMA at Home virtual cinema experience, audiences can watch A Perfectly Normal Family online through participating arts centres / film clubs and our partner Modern Films.

If you rent A Perfectly Normal Family via your local film club or arts centre, you will get the opportunity to support that organisation by selecting to donate part of the proceedings from the rental fee you pay to them, and so directly support that organisation's future film programme.
