access>CINEMA at Home: Mr Jones

Directed by Agnieszka Holland
Poland, UK, Ukraine

“... a gripping film that needs to be seen.” Sight & Sound Magazine

In 1933 Welsh journalist Gareth Jones was renowned for an interview he had secured with Adolf Hitler. Intrigued by stories of Russia's economic success during a global depression, Jones travelled to Moscow in an attempt to interview Stalin, but instead unearthed Stalin's man-made famine in the Ukraine.

Due to COVID-19, film clubs and arts centres across the access>CINEMA network are temporarily closed.

However through the access>CINEMA at Home virtual cinema experience, audiences can watch Mr Jones online through participating arts centres / film clubs and our partner Modern Films.

If you rent Mr Jones via your local film club or arts centre, you will get the opportunity to support that organisation by selecting to donate part of the proceedings from the rental fee you pay to them, and so directly support that organisation's future film programme.
