access>CINEMA at Home: Toni Morrison The Pieces I Am

Directed by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders

“... like the best documentaries, it gives you a real feeling for the subject ... if you have read the books it will make you want to reread them, and if you haven't you will want to.” The Sunday Independent

Uplifting and intimate, this documentary on legendary storyteller Toni Morrison examines her life, works and the powerful themes she confronted throughout her literary career. Featuring interviews with Angela Davis, Walter Mosley and Oprah Winfrey, alongside Morrison herself, the film celebrates her work and reflects on how she explored themes of race, history, America and the human condition.
