Told in the Irish language and set on the eve of The Great Hunger, Arracht (meaning Monster) tells of a fisherman who takes in a stranger on the request of a priest. Events that follow lead to tragic personal struggles, but hope may come in the form of a young girl who needs his help.

Produced with support from TG4, Screen Ireland and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) through the Cine4 scheme.

Is trí mheán na Gaeilge a insítear an scéal seo atá suite tamall gairid roimh an nGorta Mór, scéal iascaire é Arracht, iascaire a thugann dídean d'fhear strainséara ar ordú ó shagart. Is tragóideach ceart iad na himeachtaí a tharlaíonn ina dhiaidh sin a fhágann an fear ag troid lena intinn féin ach an dtabharfaidh cailín óg a bhfuil a chúnamh uaithi sólás éigin dó?

Arna léiriú le tacaíocht ó TG4, Fís Éireann agus Údarás Craolacháin na hÉireann (BAI) trí scéim Cine 4.
