Rachel (Virginie Efira, Benedetta) loves her life as a 40-year-old teacher. There’s just one thing missing: a family to come home to. As she falls in love with Ali (Roschdy Zem, The Cold Light of Day) and grows close to his 4-year-old daughter Leila, she is forced to confront a pivotal crossroads - is there a place for her in their family, or will Leila only ever see her as Ali’s girlfriend?
